Trollhunter’s Memoir
If you have ever been nine-ish years old, you might be able to imagine how excited the children were about their latest assignment: learn an interesting story about their family, and write a report on the subject to read aloud in class the following Friday. Very few were enthused (which is another way of saying that almost everybody hated the assignment), but no one was less enthused than Robin Tyler. Princess Problems
There once lived a beautiful girl in the Forest of Imagination. This girl was absolutely sure she was born to be a princess (although she couldn’t remember her parents). Unfortunately, her perception of what a princess’s life was like may have been a bit skewed. She was a teensy bit bossy, and perhaps even a wee bit shallow. This girl, who we shall now refer to as Princess, also had a kind heart. She loved to cook and bake delicious dishes for her subjects, er, friends. This was not to be just any soufflé, mind you, but a special soufflé, a Unicorn Soufflé. Princess dug out her mother’s recipe, and assembled the flour, milk, eggs, and butter — and then realized she did not have any unicorn horn dust. Princess set off into the Forest of Imagination in the hopes of finding a unicorn, but what she met instead was quite the misadventure. Does Princess end up with unicorn horn dust or does her quest lead to a perilous ending? Read more >>

April the 10th: For Ripley
I can’t believe it really happened. She was so sweet, so vibrant, and so full of passion for life. She was beautiful. Even her blood, in dark red pools creeping across the contours of the white tile floor…even that was almost pretty. However, every once in a while, I spotted….something. I was the only one who could see the other side of her. Read more >>
